Class 1 & 2 Delivery Drivers

Overview We are seeking reliable and skilled Driver's to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries. Play an important part in our journey As an Excel Food Service Driver, you’ll handle and deliver ambient, chilled and frozen food products to our customers shops and other wholesalers, moving stock on pallets, loading and unloading the items at our customer premises. Driving a selection of different vehicles from C+E, Class C and 3.5 tonne Vans, cash handling, nights out when required, but most of all, it’s about providing a service they’ll remember. This means getting to know the people you meet on your routes, making every delivery on time, and meeting the highest safety and legal standards. And if you haven’t already guessed, it’s a physically demanding role - but it’s also a very rewarding one Responsibilities Operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.Communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and customers.Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus, as it enhances understanding of loading procedures and logistics operations.About us The essentials 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidaysPension contributionSage BenefitsWe want everyone to join our journey We're on a journey towards creating the best possible workplace.
