We are seeking a motivated Graduate / Junior Web Developer to join our growing Web Development Team. As our business continues to expand, we are building new systems and services to meet increasing client demand.
Our Development Team is focused on delivering high-quality, scalable applications that integrate seamlessly across the wider business. We are currently working on several exciting projects, including AI-based integrations, API-driven services, and modern web applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior developer looking to grow within a supportive team, with a clear progression pathway and structured development plan.
Graduate / Junior Web Developer Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior developers to plan, design and deliver project solutions
Contribute to a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) approach
Work alongside developers and the IT Manager to implement new systems
Maintain and enhance existing applications and services
Assist in migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks
Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing
Support database design, optimisation and maintenance
Essential Core Technical Skills:
PHP 8+
Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
Understanding of software design patterns
Composer and package management
Experience with at least one PHP framework (Symfony or Zend preferred)
HTML, CSS / SCSS
JavaScript
Git (Bitbucket experience advantageous)
Basic API integration knowledge
Unit and functional testing
Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) concepts
Desirable:
JavaScript libraries or frameworks (e.g. jQuery, React, Backbone)
NPM and Node.js
Responsive front-end development
Professional Competencies
Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
Degree in Computing or related discipline (or equivalent experience); ideally with a Master’s degree or industry placement year
Security-conscious approach to development, with awareness of GDPR and industry best practices
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices
Experience contributing to team-based projects
Enthusiasm for continuous learning, both internally and through external courses

Salary: £32,000–£34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
