Security Officer – Abingdon Salary: £14.56 per hour Average Hours: 42 hours per week Shift Pattern: 4 On 4 Off – Nights Shift Times: 18:30 – 06:30 Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire Security Officer – Abingdon We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our team at a busy site in Milton Park, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, professional and security-conscious individual looking for a long-term position within the security industry. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, working from 18:30 to 06:30. This provides a consistent and structured rota, offering a good balance between work and personal time. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting the client's premises, staff, visitors and assets, and ensuring that all site security procedures are followed at all times. Key Responsibilities Maintaining a visible and professional security presence across the site.Conducting regular patrols and security checks.Monitoring access and egress to the premises.Controlling and monitoring visitors, contractors and deliveries.Operating site security and monitoring systems where required.Responding promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.Completing accurate security reports, occurrence books and relevant documentation.Liaising with the client, emergency services and other relevant personnel when required.Ensuring all site rules, procedures and security protocols are followed.Providing excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security focus.The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be: Reliable, punctual and professional.Security-conscious with a strong attention to detail.Confident dealing with staff, visitors and contractors.Able to remain calm and professional under pressure.Comfortable working independently during night shifts.Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.A team player with a flexible and positive approach.Previous security experience is desirable, but relevant training will be considered.Requirements A valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence.The right to work in the UK.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work the advertised 4 on 4 off night shift pattern.Ability to reliably travel to Milton Park, Oxfordshire, for the required shift times.What We Offer £14.56 per hour4 on 4 off night shift patternConsistent 18:30 – 06:30 shiftsFull-time, long-term employment opportunityProfessional and supportive working environmentOpportunities for development within the security industryIf you are a dependable and professional Security Officer looking for a stable night-based role with a consistent 4 on 4 off pattern, we would be pleased to hear from you.
