The Role We are seeking an experienced Family/Matrimonial Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years’ PQE to join our Nantwich offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable, confident and client-focused legal professional with strong experience in family and matrimonial matters, who is looking to develop within the role and make a meaningful contribution to the future growth of the department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide clear and sensitive advice to clients, and contribute to the continued development of our Family department. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied family and matrimonial caseload, including divorce, financial remedy, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, separation agreements and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.Provide clear, practical and sensitive advice to clients, often during emotionally challenging circumstances.Handle matters with appropriate autonomy, maintaining high standards of client care, technical accuracy and confidentiality.Support the growth of the department through relationship building, cross-referrals and business development activity in the local community.Work collaboratively with partners, colleagues and support staff, with the opportunity to mentor junior team members where appropriate. The Successful Candidate: A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (with appropriate Rights of Audience) with a strong family/matrimonial background and a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.Confident managing a broad caseload with a high level of client contact, including both financial and children matters.Organised, empathetic and able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and provide reassurance while giving clear, realistic advice.Aspirations to develop within the role and contribute to the future growth and success of the Family department at our Nantwich office.
